What is this exactly?
I thought it'd be fun to make a website as if css never exsisted.
Instead, everything is going to be styled using raw HTML, using features that probably haven't been used in a proper website since HTML5 released. (omg hes insane!111 /(0o0)\ )
I want to see how far I go without touching style in any way, and perhapse show that there may be cases where CSS isn't the most efficient solution to a problem.
Why?
because im CRAAZYZYYYY!!!
But also because I absolutely hate working with CSS.
I know I'm probably alone in this, but CSS has always been the programming language I've enjoyed working with the least.
So, if I can find ways to avoid using it, while still making the website look nicer than a white wall of text, then I'll happilly never touch CSS again.
What are you allowed to use?
I can use the following:
- Any native HTML tags & attributes (excluding style)
- JavaScript (as long as i dont touch anything related to css [i.e. cant use .style])
- NOT CSS
I will warn that this means I will be using HEAPS of "depricated" features all throughout this site. So, there's no guarentee that your browser will display properly.
Why do I clearly see a stylesheet in your web head?
First off, stop peaking D=<
Second off, I'm allowing myself to use some CSS ONLY If its for the perpose of restoring an unsupported HTML tag.
For example, I re-enabled the tag using css. it doesnt work in modern browsers so i used css to restore it.
I promise I wont pull a fast one and sneak some CSS in here somewhere I'm not supposed to. besides, thats no fun.
